How it works:
The RP-3 sand spreader is a machine designed to make the process of winter road clearance more efficient and faster. The spreader is designed to distribute loose materials, such as sand, salt or gravel, onto roads, pavements or other surfaces requiring treatment.
The RP-3 sand spreader is driven by a tractor and ensures even distribution of material across the entire surface. This reduces the amount of material required for treatment, which in turn reduces the cost of winter road clearance.
The sand spreader has a steel body and is driven by the tractor’s hydraulic system.
Material is loaded through a grille fitted on top of the body to protect against bulky materials (loading height 1.8–2.2 m).
Specifications of the RP-3 sand spreader:
- The mechanisms are hydraulically driven.
- Sand is fed via a 60 cm wide bar and plate conveyor.
- The spreading plate with blades is hydraulically driven and made of special wear-resistant steel.
- It rotates through 200° and adjusts the spreading of sand (or salt) straight ahead or to the side (right/left) when operating at the roadside. A slide gate is fitted to regulate the spreading rate, which can be raised or lowered manually.
