The PBN-20-2 grain transfer hopper is a two-axle grain cart with a 20 m³ capacity and a payload of approximately 14.7 tons, designed for continuous receiving and transferring of grain during harvesting and other technological operations. How it works:
The PBN-20-2 storage hopper is a two-axle trailer with a cone-shaped body in the bottom of which there is a screw along the entire length of the hopper, closed from above by a special flap (gate) for opening and closing which is provided with a hydraulic cylinder. An articulating auger is mounted on the front wall of the hopper, which is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder connected to the tractor’s hydraulic system.
It is used for transportation and loading of mineral fertilizers or grain into seeders, as well as their transfer to other vehicles.
The principle of operation of the PBN-20/2 reloader hopper:
The horizontal feed auger transports grain to the unloading vertical auger, which transfers it to agricultural machines.
The auger spirals are made of special steel (made in Italy), which is perfectly centered before installation. This ensures that the grain is not damaged. The augers are powered by the tractor’s PTO at 540/1000 rpm.

The bunker is used for:
– removing grain from the combine and reloading it into machines;
– loading seeders;
– loading BigBag.
Use of the storage hopper during harvesting.
During harvest, this tractor trailer is used as a storage hopper. It takes the grain away from the combine and transfers it to trucks or other vehicles. The use of PBN-20 makes it possible to reduce the vehicle fleet and reduce its downtime and the downtime of the combine. The efficiency of using the PBN-20 increases with large distances between the field and the current (elevator). Another advantage of a reloading semitrailer over a car is that the tractor has greater cross-country ability on a wet field.
Using a tractor semi-trailer during the sowing season.
Each wide-cutting seeder has its own loading auger, but it stands under loading for 30-40 minutes, due to the low productivity of this auger, and sowing is always a hot time, every minute is worth its weight in gold.
“Kobzarenko Plant” offers a reloading hopper storage tank PBN-20, which will reduce the downtime of the seeder, its capacity is 3 tons per minute It takes no more than five minutes to load such a seeder PBN-20. The use of a semi-trailer saves you up to 20-30 minutes at each refueling of the seeder.
Use of a reloading semi-trailer for loading mineral fertilizers.
With a capacity of 3 tons per minute, the PBN-20 hopper will quickly load any fertilizer spreader. For example, let’s take a 12-ton spreader MVU-12, and it will take no more than 6-7 minutes for the semitrailer to load it, but this is provided that the fertilizer is well-flowing and not caked. This semitrailer will not overload stale, stony fertilizers. After using the PBN-20 for loading fertilizers, the semitrailer must be thoroughly cleaned of mineral fertilizer residues to extend its service life. It is strictly forbidden to store mineral fertilizers in it, which, when moisture gets in, react with the metal and corrode it.
