Subtex agrofiber
Subtex agro fabric is a durable and long-lasting material designed to protect hay and straw bales from rain, UV exposure, and damage during storage. How it works:
SUBTEX agrofibre – for covering straw, hay, alfalfa, wood chips.
Subtex agrofibre (France) is made of nervous polypropylene fiber, which is designed to cover bales of straw, hay, wood chips, as well as food products, such as potatoes or beets.
The size of the agricultural canvas is 15.6 x 25 m (390m2)
It can cover 200 bales with a diameter of 1.8 m or 300 bales with a diameter of 1.2 m. Relatively lightweight for its surface area – the fabric weighs about 40 kg. Agrifiber is very resistant to wind. It provides protection from rain and provides breathability. It is a vapor-permeable material (air can escape inside), so it does not form mold and fungi on the surface.
Subtex agrofibre has a smooth and rough surface. The smooth side should be placed upwards, and the rough side should be placed against the surface of straw or wood chips. Water droplets do not penetrate the agrofiber due to surface tension, and steam molecules escape through the rough surface to the outside.
Terms of use of agrofibers SUBTEX:
- the rough side of the material should lie on the bales, and the smooth side should be outside
- the cover should be at an angle of 45 degrees for perfect water drainage
- agrofibre must be constantly under tension
- the connecting seam between the fiber parts should be perpendicular to the ground
